Jack Knife
This vineyard has so many stories! The land was settled in the 1800’s because of the artesian springs allowed people to live there and dry farm grains. Our first son married our daughter-in-law in the restored barn. The name is derived from driving by with our youngest son to check out the possibility of buying the site when we came upon a semi truck and trailer jack knifed on the sharp turn in the dirt road entering the vineyard! Once we acquired the site the named seemed natural. The high elevation of Jack Knife ripens the fruit early with ripe dark fruit flavors.
