“Quar­an­ta! Wow, forty years have passed since Bim­mer and Niels found­ed Cas­toro Cel­lars. It has been quite the ride. Our first anniver­sary wine was Dieci Anni. On that label it jok­ing­ly stat­ed that one might have to wait five years for the next blend! It was so pop­u­lar that we have done one every vin­tage since. The goal then and now has always been to cre­ate a spe­cial wine high­light­ing the great­ness of the appel­la­tion and our cumu­la­tive wine­mak­ing tal­ents gained over the years. One stip­u­la­tion was made, as an homage to Paso Rob­les, some Zin­fan­del had to be an inte­gral part of the blend. Enjoy­able now but this Mag­num wine also ages superbly!
