The 2021 Grenache from Whale Rock Vine­yard is a vibrant Rhône-style red, organ­i­cal­ly grown in Paso Rob­les’ Tem­ple­ton Gap Dis­trict. It show­cas­es brick-red hues, cher­ry, choco­late, and bak­ing spice aro­mas. The palate is bright and bal­anced, with rasp­ber­ry, cran­ber­ry, and cin­na­mon, sup­port­ed by firm acid­i­ty and lush tan­nins. Aged 15 months in French and Amer­i­can oak, this wine deliv­ers depth and finesse with a smooth, lin­ger­ing finish.

Har­vest­ed in ear­ly Octo­ber at 25.1º Brix, the 2021 vin­tage reflects a mild grow­ing sea­son, allow­ing for even ripeness and expres­sive fruit fla­vors. Short skin fer­men­ta­tion pre­served Grenache’s del­i­cate nature, while large pun­cheon bar­rels refined its struc­ture.
