2014 Due Mila Undice

This is our 11th version of this distinctive Bordeaux based blend. We select the star lots from that harvest, blend them together, and then age the blend in our best barrels from a variety of forests and coopers to optimize the complexity. The wine has to have some real backbone to be able to handle 15 months in the barrel! The aroma is layered with black cherry, blueberry, violets, cinnamon toast, and dark chocolate shavings. In the mouth, the fruit comes alive creating a lush and full-bodied palate. Extended oak aging tames the big tannins for a silky, flannel-soft finish. Definitely a cellar-worthy wine.
